Behind the Scenes: Creating a Testimonial Video for Glaston and AGP

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Glaston, a leading provider of glass processing technologies, to create a testimonial video featuring one of their valued clients, AGP, based in New Zealand. This project was a great opportunity to capture the essence of a strong business partnership and showcase the impact of Glaston’s innovative technology on AGP’s operations.

The Project Brief

The task was clear: create a testimonial video that not only highlights AGP's experience with Glaston's FC furnaces and automation technology but also delves into the nuances of their working relationship. The video needed to convey the benefits of Glaston’s products and services, particularly in the challenging context of the COVID-19 pandemic, where remote operations and automation have become even more crucial.

Setting the Stage

Our day began early, with my assistant videographer, Laura, and I arriving at AGP’s office by 9:00 AM. We knew that to create an authentic and engaging video, we needed to make sure the environment was just right. After discussing the project details with David, AGP’s representative, we explored the facility to familiarise ourselves with the space and identify the best spots for filming.

Our shoot list was extensive, including close-ups of Glaston’s FC furnaces, the online quality control screens, and the automation processes that play a vital role in AGP’s production. We also planned to capture the products on the yellow conveyor and various other shots of the facility to provide a comprehensive view of AGP’s operations.

The Interview

The interview with David was the centrepiece of the video. We carefully crafted questions designed to bring out the story of AGP’s relationship with Glaston, from the initial decision to partner with them, to the ways in which Glaston’s automation technology has transformed AGP’s production process. The questions also touched on the impact of COVID-19 on their partnership and the role of Glaston’s Australian team in maintaining seamless operations.

David’s insights were invaluable, and we took our time to ensure he felt comfortable and confident throughout the interview. This approach not only made the interview process smoother but also helped us capture genuine and compelling responses that would resonate with viewers.

The Outcome

The final video is a testament to the strong partnership between AGP and Glaston. It highlights how Glaston’s advanced technology has enabled AGP to achieve high-quality, consistent products while navigating the challenges of the pandemic. The video serves as a powerful tool for Glaston to showcase the real-world impact of their solutions and the value they bring to their clients.
