The Trenwiths are a legendary New Zealand bluegrass band based in Hamilton. We got to know them when they collaborated with Caroline Jones as she spent most of last year in New Zealand recording her sophomore album - Antipodes.
The Trenwiths never had a music video produced for any of their songs and when they approached us to produce one for them, we jumped at the opportunity! We came up with the concept to create contrast - to create a black and white music video of the guys wearing formal attire, a look that's not associated with the bluegrass genre. We zeroed in on the Thievery studio space to film this session because of the vast amounts of natural light it gets, helping us create contrast. The music video production process was a lot of fun and we're so happy to have created this memory for both the band and their fans.
