Although Waiheke island is only a 30 minute ferry ride from Auckland, it is a whole different world. If people thought New Zealand has a laid back feel to it, Waiheke Island is a beautiful dream come true.
Kelly and Adam wanted their Man O'War Vineyards, Waiheke island wedding video to capture the emotions and elements of the wedding. The bridal preparations, the beautiful ceremony and the party to finish. They wanted the wedding videography to help bring the day back to life over and over again to share not only together but with their children and family and friends.
Adam proposed to Kelly at Man O'War Vineyards after being together for 14 years! Their families and friends knew this would eventually happen but were getting itchy feet waiting all these years. Kelly and Adam love the island and they decided then and there that they would have a Waiheke island wedding. Kelly is a great organiser and she single handedly organised the whole wedding, with help from her bridesmaids.
The girls stayed at a luxury villa on the bay for the night while Adam's dad had his boat moored in the harbour where the boys stayed. They swam in the bay before heading to the island for the ceremony. The star of the ceremony was Kelly and Adam's daughter Lily, who ran down the aisle to greet her mother and the two walked down along with Kelly's dad. The ceremony was held next to a beautiful tiny chapel on the vineyard's property.
We whisked them away for a bit along with the wedding photographer and as the sun started to set, we enjoyed some great speeches from their friends and families, the amazing hospitality of the staff and some super cool performances by the musicians.
