How far are you willing to travel?

We're happy to travel just about anywhere in New Zealand & the world! We do charge a travel fee to cover expenses but we keep this to a minimum.

Do you shoot destination weddings and elopements?

Definitely! We love travelling to different countries and experiencing different cultures so please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can customise a package for you.

Can you pencil hold my date?

We handle all bookings on a first come-first serve basis. We collect a 20% deposit to secure the booking, so we can't pencil a date.

When is the final balance due?

The final balance must be paid 2 weeks prior to the wedding day.

Can we meet you before booking?

Yes! We insist on having a face to face meeting with both of you if you're in Auckland or a video call for all other regions. Apart from the bridesmaids and groomsmen, we are the people you will spend most of your day with so finding out if we are the right fit is really important.

Wedding photography

How many wedding photos do we receive?

The amount of photos depends on the package you've chosen. Half day packages receive a minimum of 300 photos and full day packages a minimum of 500. This is a rough guideline based on the amount of time we shoot; there's no cap on the amount of photos you'll receive, we'll be sure to include all the good ones!

When do we receive our photos?

Good things take time. We put great care into how we edit our photos and during the busy summer months the photos may take up to 12 weeks. However, we try our best to deliver the photos within a shorter time frame. Within a couple of days after your big day, we'll give you a little sneak preview that includes around 20-30 web resolution images that you can share with family and friends or on social media.

How are the photos delivered?

All our photo packages receive a beautiful wooden USB and 30 printed photos that you can select from the final photos. We also give you access to your own Pixieset online gallery from where you can download high resolution photos for yourself. You are free to print these photos as many times as you like.

Do you watermark our photos?

Do we need to provide a shot list?

We will take care of documenting all the important parts and details of your day. If you have any specific ideas, we're always happy to hear these and see how we can accommodate for them. The only actual shot list we may need is for the group photos. However, it'd be great if you can organise a family member to gather people together for each shot, so that we can get these done efficiently. We recommend allocating 3-5 minutes for each group photo as this will allow us enough time to gather the people and pose them for the photos.

Wedding videography

If you film for the whole day, why do we only get between 3-12 minutes of footage?

You'll be surprised how many times we get asked this question! Movie filmmakers shoot for weeks and months but only deliver 2 hours of film. As we create cinematic highlights of your wedding day, we go through the hundreds of gigabytes of footage from the day, put our creative hats on to tell your story. Highlights films are meant to be engaging, powerful, fun and emotional.

Can I ask for my favourite song to be in the video?

Music is meant to compliment our films, not be the centre of attention. We want to tell the story of your day, so we treat music as a cog in this beautiful machine, not the machine itself. We source our music from a professional royalty free music library and we can spend hours if not days to choose the right sound to compliment the film.

Can I make suggestions on how I want my wedding video to be?

We are very open to suggestions and as wedding videographers, we can sometimes learn a few things too! But in order to create our best work, we need to have creative control over all aspects of our work and this includes over visual and sound.

How is the video delivered?

Similar to our photography delivery, we deliver our films on a beautiful wooden USB and we also send a digital file so uploading and sharing the film online is a breeze.

What if it rains?

No problem! We always have a backup plan or two if it does rain. However, we recommend you have a nice-looking umbrella or two handy and embrace the open skies – rain makes for beautiful shots!

Do we need to organise a hot meal for you?

After a long day shooting, we get pretty hungry so this would be very much appreciated! We don't need anything fancy though and are happy to find a quiet corner to have a quick bite before jumping back into it.

How do you work with other wedding photographers and wedding videographers?

We are more than happy to work with other photographers and videographers. We like to have everyone get their shots so we make sure we communicate well with other vendors. When it comes to us as a team, we work together all the time and know exactly how to make the best out of every situation as a team. For that reason, we recommend looking into our photo & cinema packages which allows for the most seamless experience (also, less vendors to deal with!).

Did we miss something?
